Thanks!

Saying Thank You is, we are all taught, one of the things that should be an automatic response when someone does something nice for you, or does something you ask them to do.

In the list below are some of the folks who have done something I have asked them to do. And, they have all done something nice for the Town of Marblehead.

To all of them I offer my heartfelt thanks! I ask that when you run into any of them, you too offer them your thanks for a job well done and for being so helpful to The Town of Marblehead!

Thanks to all and have a safe & GREAT 4TH OF JULY!

You know Marblehead is a small town when you can take an idea to a town official and get something done in days instead of months.

Here's what happened. I asked Tom McNulty one day if he had any town wide mailings going out anytime soon. That was in late December I think and Tom allowed that the Town Wide Census would be going out in the next few days. I told him how well we do with the Mooring Holders request for donations letter that the Harbormaster's Office is kind enough to send out for us with the Mooring Permit Applications.

Tom jumped right on the idea and put me in touch with the printer of the census. I made up a letter to be sent with the census and literally within a few days the deal was done. We made the deadline, the printer included the letter (which the Fireworks Committee paid for) along with the census and the end result was that we got a request for Fireworks Donations into every house in town! The best part of the story is that we got lots of donations from lots of new Fireworks Supporters. Thanks Tom!

In addition to making a very generous donation to the fireworks fund The Boston Yacht Club very graciously hosted a Fireworks Committee Luncheon for over 20 people on Wednesday June 14th.

The Committee hopes that the Corinthian, the Eastern and the Dolphin will follow suit in years to come.
